As we head into Summer we are seeing our real estate market once
again very strong. The number of Canmore properties sold in the
second quarter of 2005 are approximately 36% increase in sales over
the first quarter of 2005. The average sale price for the second
quarter of 2005 was 410,123 with 2004 sales for the second quarter
averaging 378,173 an increase of 8.33%. During the second quarter
of 2005 there were 218 properties purchased in Canmore through the
local agents and 162 properties listed.
The real estate market remains strong with Buyers from all over
the world coming to Canmore, buyers are enjoying low interest rates
and are entering the market in record numbers. Driven by the demand
for vacation property more sellers are listing properties for sale
and making their move to properties that better suit their circumstances.
